Tennis Experience:

Ruthie began her tennis career at Bishop Park in 1990 at the 3.0 level.

Thanks to her natural Athletic abilities, Ruthie quickly advanced to higher levels of play. In 1995, she began playing ALTA.

Currently, Ruthie is at 4.5 USTA and AA3 levels of competition and continues to be a fierce competitor.

Tennis Work Experience:

Ruthie is a gifted teacher and applied her natural teaching skills to tennis in 1996. Ruthie is a wonderful ambassador and role model for the game of tennis.

Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the light go on when someone "gets it". She's enjoyed tennis so much that she loves seeing someone catch the joy.

Carreer Goals:

Continue teaching and improving her own tennis ability.

Hobbies:

Ruthie loves to read and play every sport. Kids are now grown so she is redecorating the house.

Highlights:

Ruthie has had many wonderful partners, teammates and memorable matches, but there is one she remembers especially well because it taught her never to give up. She was a 3.5 singles player, it was hot, she and her opponent had played for 3 1/2 hours and it came down to a 3rd. Set tie breaker. Ruthie was down 6-1 and came back to win 8-6!.
