Tennis Experience:
Jamie has been
playing the sport of tennis
since the age of 9.
He was one
of the top ranked junior players in the state of Georgia. He is
also an accomplished doubles player having a national ranking of
3rd in the NCJAA division where he was also awarded the honor of
All-American.
Jamie played
at Abraham Baldwin College where his team finished in the top 5
of the nation for two consecutive years.
Teaching
Experience:
Jamie is a
USPTA certified professional. Jamie began teaching tennis at the
age of 17 and has 20 years experience under his belt. He joined
Tennis for Life in 2005.
Jamie worked
as the assistant Tennis Professional at the Jekyll Island Tennis
Center on Jekyll Island. He taught clinics and private lessons,
ran sanctioned tournaments, and created personal training programs
for top ranked junior players. Jamie also developed tennis programs
for local high school tennis programs.
Jamie attended
USPTR workshops on Hilton Head, SC and completed courses in the
following: Junior Development, Strategy, Sports Psychology, Tournament
Directing, Business Management, Nutrition, Stroke Analysis and Biomechanics.
Highlights:
Jamie has enjoyed
playing and meeting tennis players from around the world when playing
in various qualifiers for ATP tour events. But, most of all he has
enjoyed seeing people of all ages learn to love the game of tennis
no matter what level played.
