I would like information regarding the current tennis session.
Great! TFL, Inc. has classes, teams, special events, tournaments, leagues that begin throughout the year. Just go to Bishop Park, Oconee County or Southeast Clarke then click on programs or schedules. A description of all our programs is contained in the web site - continue to browse, have fun! Q. I would like to join a USTA team How exciting! this is when life and your tennis game really improve. You will want to understand the NTRP rating system. Check it out by going to our USTA Teams section. Click on NTRP guidelines. Go to Tennislink, talk to your friends and / or call the office at (706) 613.3592 to get a list of captains / teams at your NTRP level. Call the captain - You are set - Have a great time! - Remember, It's just a game. . . Q. I would like to take individual lessons. Without a doubt there is no better or quicker way to improve your tennis game or a specific aspect of your game. Go to our Special Services section, from there you can check out the prices and bios of the pros. Then call the tennis office. Leave your name, phone number, your choice of instructor and the instructor will return your phone call - Together, you and the pro can determine a day, time and location. Get ready to take your game to the next level. Q. It's raining, it's pouring; are we going to have tennis today? The weather can be a tricky call. Every effort is made to have your tennis lesson. A decision regarding your class or clinic will be made one hour before your scheduled class time. If it is raining or you think it might be wet at your facility, please call the tennis office: (706) 613.3592 for Bishop Park or (706) 769.2954 for Oconee County. If your class is canceled the message in the machine will clearly say so. If your class is on schedule you will hear a generic message. All classes and clinics will be made up. Q. I have the tennis bug and I love to compete. When is your next tournament? Tournaments are a lot of fun. Please find this information by checking our What's New? section or go to Bishop Park or Oconee County and click on Events. From there you can print an entry form to sign up for the tournament of your choice. Q. I have been taking lessons, and playing tennis for a while now . What's my next step? Should I move up? And the end of a session, your instructor will hand you a suggestion for your next step. If you are not involved in a program talk to your instructor, talk to your pro or call the office at (706) 613.3592 or for (706) 769.2954 Oconee Tennis Program. Q. I am interested in USTA information Go to www.gatennis.com or www.usta.com. Visit our links section! Q. I am interested in hitting with people. What can I do? The best way is to join a class, clinic or team. Call the tennis office at (706)613.3592 to determine what is the best class for you. The next option is to come to Bishop Park and place your name and phone number on our "people to hit with" list, get some names and phone numbers from the list - make some phone calls. Finally, Stacey's
method as a kid was to go to the tennis court and wait for someone to
show up and ask if she could join them. She was young, times were a little
different, but it's worth a try. |
